It’s a Jelly Roll Race!!
Saturday, May 3rd 11am-3pm
Kick off summer with University of Sewing’s Jelly Roll Race, and support the Pakistan Sewing School!

Five teachers will compete in the store to see who can complete an entire jelly roll quilt top the fastest! Each teacher will have their own Team, their “Vehicle,” Sponsors, and Pit Crew! Show your support for the person you think will come out on top, through a monetary donation to the Pakistan Sewing School, a program designed by and with the University of Sewing to provide impoverished Pakistani women a chance at learning a marketable skill, while gaining confidence and independence. Who will come home with the prize? Pick your favorite, and donate today!
How it works:
-
Pick a “Team” to root for! Who do you think has the chance to take home the trophy?
-
Donate to the Team of your choice. Your donation is your vote, and any amount counts!
-
Donors who contribute over $25 will receive a certificate of recognition as a member of our Pit Crews, a coupon for the University of Sewing, and only Pit Crews are eligible to win fantastic door prizes donated by our sponsors during the event!
-
Attend the Jelly Roll Race on Saturday, May 3rd! We’ll have snacks, drinks, music, and LOTS of fun as we all trash talk each other and “drive” for the finish line!
-
All completed quilts will be donated to Middle Way House.
About the Charity: The Pakistan Sewing School was designed by and with the University of Sewing to provide impoverished Pakistani women (largely from their minority Christian population) a 4-6 month program that teaches these women the basics of sewing, garment making, and alterations and clothing repair. The women are not charged for their classes, and they are gifted a sewing machine upon completion of the course. The School is run entirely off of donations, and already has a huge wait list for upcoming sessions! It's a truly incredible charity, and every single penny of what we raise during our event will be sent directly to the School.
Your donation is your vote for who YOU think will win the race!
