Module 4 Quilted Jacket Series: Constructing the Quilted Jacket



Quilted jackets are popping up everywhere in stores, the internet and even here in Bloomington. Making one really isn't all that hard, but we are going to make it easy for anyone to pick up some skills to make a successful Quilted Jacket.

  • Everyone will come together to start the construction of their jacket
  • Learn the different ways to finish the inner coat seams
  • Learn how to bind the inner coat seams for a reversible finish
  • Start sewing together coat
  • Fine tune your fit as you construct your jacket


Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: You should be comfortable with your machine and know how to use it
Requirements: Bring your machine, power cord, foot controller, accessories, and manual. Bring a basic sewing kit of scissors and pins, marking pen, and threads. Bring your jacket pieces and pattern.
