Module 1a: Quilted Jacket Series Planning: Creating a Pieced and Quilted Jacket

Quilted jackets are popping up everywhere in stores, the internet and even here in Bloomington. Making one really isn't all that hard, but we are going to make it easy for anyone to pick up some skills to make a successful Quilted Jacket.
Decide the type of look you want, what pattern to use, how to prep the fabrics, batting, materials you need, construction of pieces, and finally what patterns there are for this type of jacket. Maybe you want to use one plain piece of fabric and let your quilting skills stand out, there are so many ways to make this jacket your own. Learn how to make a fitting muslin of your chosen pattern. Maybe you got started a long time ago and need a push to get you restarted.
Everyone has some sort of idea of what they want. Bring any inspiration you have (pictures, old coats, etc). We will go through a check list of questions to help make your plan to create the coat of your dreams.
