Module 1b: Quilted Jacket Series Planning: Quilted Jacket Using a Preloved Quilt

Quilted jackets are popping up everywhere in stores, the internet and even here in Bloomington. Making one really isn't all that hard, but we are going to make it easy for anyone to pick up some skills to make a successful Quilted Jacket.
You have several quilts in the closet that have been sitting for years. OR, you have made a top and haven't any idea what to do with it. Why not make it into something useful and enjoy it!
The quilt can be
from your quilt stash
an unfinished quilt top or unfinished quilted piece
one found at a thrift store
In this class, you will learn what to look for and what to avoid when selecting an already made quilt, how to mend and alter it if needed, how to wash and prepare it for cutting. Learn how to make a fitting muslin of your chosen pattern.
Bring the quilt(s) and your ideas and we will go over the quilts, pick a pattern, and make a plan. You will not need your machine for this class, it is planning only.
