Quilt-As-You-Go
The technique is quilt-as-you-go. It is a great way to use scraps and create fun things. Cheryl will demonstrate this technique and allow you to learn as we build a panel to be used as a bag or a square for another item you want to make. A bag would be a great project to finish this piece off as. However the projects are endless: a table runner, throw quilt, or a larger quilt can all be made with this technique.
Cheryl will demonstrate two finishing techniques.
What you need:
Assortment of strips of differing widths at least 17 inches long, pressed and ready for use.
One piece of material and a piece of batting 17 inches square.
Your thread should be a good color match for your 17" square material. (If you want to finish this as a bag, go ahead and have 2 17" squares of backing and batting ready.)
