Garment Academy Session 107 Sewing with Knits



This is a beginning class to learn to sew on knits on your sewing machine. Samples and practice t-shirt will be made in class. The right needles, threads, and knowledge is all that is needed. 


Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Learn to adjust your machine, which needles and threads to use and how to handle the fabric
Materials Included: Sample fabric
Requirements: Bring your machine with manual and feet, and basic sewing kit of thread, seam ripper, pins, needles, scissors, and seam gauge. If you have something that you need advice on, bring it along and let's see if we can help. We will provide materials for the class.
Instructor: Alice Lorenzen
Instructor Bio: Alice has been teaching sewing for 20+ years for both machines and garments. She is trained as a Palmer & Pletsch fitting/sewing instructor and is currently the University of Sewing's expert on Embroidery and software.
