Youth Sewing- Sew much Fun - Session 2

Join us as we jump into the creative world of sewing!  We will learn both hand sewing skills and basic machine operations as we work on beginner-friendly projects like a pin cushion, small pillow, and reusable snack bag.  We will get familiar with basic sewing notions and learn safe use of all our tools.  Most importantly we will have Sew Much Fun creating things from fabric and thread.  The Class fee includes 4 90 minute sessions, all materials and the Sewing School sewing machine book.  
Ages 9-14 Introduction to the Sewing Machine.  You must have a sewing machine (and bring your machine to class) to participate in this class.

Skill Level: beginner
Skill Details: No Prior sewing knowledge is expected.
Materials Included: Fabric and book are included.
Requirements: Each student will be needing a Basic sewing kit. These are available in our shop. The kit includes plastic box with a removable 4-compartment tray, 8-1/2in shears, a Pin magnet, 45 red glass head pins, Small blade ergonomic seam ripper, 15 hand needles, Needle storage tube, 60in tape measure, 2in x 8in printed ruler, White marking pencil, and Cherry tomato pin cushion.
Instructor: Denise Shaffer
Instructor Bio: Denise has been sewing for over 30 years. She is a quilter primarily but has recently taken up apparel sewing as well. As a mom of 8, Denise is a particularly patient & natural teacher.
