Sewing Machine Demystified



Demystify the sewing machine with our two and a half hour introductory sewing class with textiles artist Molly Evans.  Learn how to thread your sewing and wind a bobbin.  Additionally in this class we will learn both best practices for operating a sewing machine as well as how to form simple seams which translate into a mini sewing sample book which you will take home from the class. You won't need to bring anything as a sewing machine and materials are provided.


Skill Level: beginner
Skill Details: This is your first introduction to using a sewing machine.
Materials Included: All Materials are included in the price.
Requirements: You won't need to bring anything, except reading glasses if you need those. The University of Sewing will supply a sewing machine and all the materials you will need.
Instructor Bio: Molly is a visiting assistant professor at the IU in the school of Art, Architecture, and Design.
